Graphic Design / Marketing Intern

Location: Mankato, MN

The Graphic Design / Marketing Intern supports the Sales/Marketing Department in conceiving, designing and orchestrating projects related to accomplishing company marketing and sales objectives. This person also serves general bank personnel as part of the central service delivery process as it relates to sales and marketing.

Accountabilities:

  • Has a strong skill set in utilization of Adobe Creative Cloud to create promotions, advertising and sales materials.
  • Assists with marketing/sales related tasks and projects within the guidelines stipulated by the Marketing Manager.
  • Assists in the conception of projects, promotions and sales collateral material as directed.
  • Helps design and create promotional, advertising and sales material including printed ads, radio scripts, website copy, letters and promotional customer correspondence, tradeshow exhibits, slideshows, presentations and any other related tasks conceived in the course of developing marketing and sales plans and tactics.
  • Manages a variety of vendors as needed in the course of procuring promotional, advertising and sales material.
  • Follows supports and reinforces the established proofing process for the successful creation of customer and prospect communications.
  • Assists as directed in creation of materials, planning and executing company events including but not limited to product training sessions, customer service and sales training events.
  • Assists with reporting and tracking of sales-related activities as directed.

Specifications:

  • General office software – Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher.
  • Print design software – Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop (CC)

Qualifications:

  • Studying Graphic Design, Marketing or related field
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a professional manner when dealing with employees, vendors and company contacts.
  • Must be a creative thinker.
  • Strong skills to utilize the Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office software effectively.
