Flood of 2024 - Flood Relief & support informationWe are thinking of all those affected by the recent flood waters across the Midwest and our area. Many local governments have begun efforts to gather information in an effort to attain additional support for those who have had losses. Be sure that you are keeping track of your costs by saving receipts. There are a number of organizations and local entities who have begun to offer cleaning supplies and debris drop-off sites. Be cautious of unsolicited texts, emails, calls and even in-person visits from organizations who claim to be officials or from groups designated to help you with financial assistance. Only provide your personal information to a trusted and verified resource when the appropriate time comes if you are eligible for assistance. It's best to check with your local government entities to validate any representatives who are asking you for personal information. It's okay to ask for identification and it's okay to take someone's information to give you time to validate they are legitimate or not.
